Do you have any other galleries on the internet besides www.jaydehilliard.com?
Yes! I have galleries at www.elfwood.com, www.ebsqart.com, www.epilogue.net, and http://www.dream-grafix.com/default.aspx. Some of this galleries do contain works that I have done that are not on this website.
Where can I buy your original paintings?
Currently all of my original paintings go up for sale on e-bay. I currently do not have originals for sale on my website but I hope to change that in the future. If you are looking for commissions please see my commissions page.
What mediums do you paint with?
Ahaaa... good question! A lot of people tend to confuse my mediums. About 95% of my work is created with acrylic, even the ones that look like watercolour! I rarely touch watercolours because they are so expensive and I tend to get frustrated when I work with it, lol! Other than Acrylics, I use prisma colours and adobe photoshop for a small majorty of the art you see here. I hope to be showing off new work in oils sometime soon!
What type of papers/canvas do you use?
Another good question! The majority of my canvas are on generic canvas boards that I buy at hobby lobby. Once in a blue moon I paint on a stretched canvas or rolled canvas. For the most part my work is created on crescent illustration board and 140 lb. watercolour paper.
Are the people that appear in your works real people or just made up?
Yes and no. Some people that appear in my paintings are friends of mine, such as Rachel www.zeibyasis.com. Some of the people are me! And some of the other people are either just made up out of the blue or characters of mine.
Isn't it a bit vain to use yourself in your own paintings?
Well since I don't work at a haunted house anymore I have to scare people somehow, and what better way to scare people than to show them my ugly mug?! Besides, should someone steal my artwork and claim to be me it just makes them look all the sillier.
Do you sign all of your paintings?
All of my paintings are signed on the front, sometimes on the back, and all include a handprint of the leftover paints that I used to create the piece on the back. Occasionally you can find pawprints on the back too where my kitties wanted to sign them too.
Where can I buy your prints?
You can purchase my prints through this website or through my e-bay store!
What print sizes are available?
The majority of my prints are available in as little as 6"x10" through 13"x19". If you want a particular size and you can't find the auction or order but, email me and I'll see if I can make it available for you!
How do you ship your prints and how much does it cost?
For all of the prints that I ship within the US I ship them via priority mail for $3.90. You can buy as many prints as you like and they will all be shipped at said price. I DO ship outside of the US, but you will have to email me for a shipping quote. I add insurance and delivery confirmation upon request but it costs the standard www.usps.com price for insurance and delivery confirmation.
What payment methods do you except?
I currently only accept money orders and paypal using the address jaydita@hotmail.com
Can I use your artwork on my website, for website desings, psp tubes, t-shirts, jewelry charms, mousepads, etc?
Before using artwork from ANY artist for ANY purpose, permission MUST be granted from the artist themself. Otherwise one is in violation of copyright laws. I am no exception to this rule. All of my artwork is owned by me, and I'm quite particular with how it's used. I currently DO NOT allow usage for psp tubes, graphics work, siggy tags, wallpaper backgrounds, stationary, website decor, etc etc. I also DO NOT and CAN NOT allow the usage of my work to create items for personal use or for resale without a proper license. If you are interested in licensing my artwork please e-mail me. I have contracts with licensing companies and I do not want those contracts breached. I do not want to be rude but I take this very seriously. Even if you are in a 'member's only' community for such workings you still cannot use my work. If you have any questions about it email me.
I've seen your artwork, or work like it, on another website or on items for sale on ebay (or elsewhere). I'm not sure if they have the right to use them, what do I do?
If you come across a website or a seller who is using my artwork, please, PLEASE email me first! There are some companies that I do allow to use my work, but if the person or items you suspect are 'stolen' or 'bootlegged', please let me know and I'll let you know. Please do not send them flaming emails, they do no good and can only get you in trouble, and I don't want that to happen.
Do you sell wholesale?
Yes, I do sell my work at wholesale prices for orders of 20 items or more. Please email me for a wholesale order quote. You can also purchase my merchandise wholesale if you are a store owner! For the slate stones from Blue Moon Stones please see www.bluemoonstones.com.
Who do you currently have licenses with?
I currently hold contracts with Chippewa Publishing LLC. I hold licesning contracts with www.mistydreamz.com and www.bluemoonstones.com
Can I use your artwork to have a tattoo on myself?
Go for it! And when it's done feel free to send me some photos! I just may (with your permission) display your photo on my website! =^_^= If you are a tattoo artists and want to offer my artwork in your shop for flash, please email me! I will allow it but a certain amount of credit must be given where the flash will be displayed.
Do you do any work with an airbrush?
Currently, no. I do have an airbrush though, and I am looking to take lessons. :) I would like to paint motorcycle for my daddy one day. The most I have done thus far with an airbrush is the background for 'Twilight'.
Can I use your artwork as a mural for my motorcycle or car?
I've been asked this before and I do allow usage in certain cases. Please email me if you are interested!
